Photos are an important part of your profile on Minimal.
To keep the community safe, respectful, and authentic, please follow these photo guidelines when uploading pictures. Failure to follow these rules may result in removal of photos or suspension of your account.
What we look for
Your photos should:
- Clearly show you
- Be recent and accurate
- Be well-lit and clear
- Be respectful and appropriate
- Represent your everyday appearance
- Include at least one photo where your face is visible
You may upload:
- Solo photos of yourself
- Casual selfies
- Travel or lifestyle photos
- Group photos (as long as you are clearly identifiable)
Prohibited Content
Do not upload photos that include any of the following:
1. Nudity or Sexual Content
- Fully nude or partially nude photos
- Sexually explicit poses or acts
- Pornographic or fetish content
- Sexualized or suggestive imagery
2. Children or Minors (Strictly Not Allowed)
- Photos of children or minors alone
- Photos where children are the main focus
- Any image involving minors in inappropriate or suggestive context
- School or daycare images
Minimal is strictly for users aged 18+. To protect minors and user safety, photos containing children are not allowed.
3. Violence or Dangerous Content
- Images showing violence or physical harm
- Weapons (guns, knives, explosives, etc.)
- Threatening gestures or aggressive behavior
- Blood, injuries, or disturbing content
- Encouraging unsafe or illegal activities
4. Fake or Misleading Photos
- Photos of celebrities, models, or other people
- AI-generated or heavily altered face images
- Photos that do not represent you
- Old photos that mislead about your current appearance
- Extreme filters that change your identity
5. Hate, Extremism, or Illegal Content
- Hate symbols or extremist signs
- Drug use or illegal substances
- Criminal activity
- Offensive or discriminatory imagery
6. Personal or Private Information
- Phone numbers
- Email addresses
- Home or work addresses
- Social media handles
- Identity documents (Aadhaar, passport, license, etc.)
7. Commercial or Promotional Content
- Advertisements
- QR codes
- Business logos
- Influencer promotions
- Product marketing
8. Screenshots or Private Content
- Screenshots of chats or private messages
- Other users’ profiles
- Photos without the person’s consent
Group Photos
Group photos are allowed only if:
- You are clearly visible
- They do not include minors
- They are respectful and appropriate
- They do not mislead others about your identity
Consent & Ownership
Only upload photos:
- That belong to you or that you have permission to use
- That respect the privacy of others
- That do not violate any laws or rights
Moderation & Enforcement
We reserve the right to:
- Remove any photo without notice
- Request photo verification
- Suspend or permanently ban accounts for repeated violations
Tips for Better Photos (Optional)
We recommend photos that:
- Show your face clearly
- Are taken in good lighting
- Avoid sunglasses in all photos
- Avoid heavy filters
- Show hobbies or interests
Reporting
If you see a photo that violates these guidelines:
- Please report it using the in-app reporting feature
- Help keep Minimal safe for everyone
